For the second consecutive season the Princeton women’s water polo team defeated Brown to capture the CWPA Southern Division championship. The 12th-ranked Tigers topped the Bears, 12-4, Sunday in Providence, R.I. to maintain their stance as the top team in the division.

Princeton outscored its three opponents 41-10 to win the tournament and improve to 23-5 on the year. The Tigers now head to the CWPA Eastern Championship in Ann Arbor, Mich. from Apr. 26-28.

For the third straight game, goalie Ashleigh Johnson and the defense put together a pair of shutout quarters. Following a scoreless first, the Bears notched two goals to make it a 6-2 game at halftime. Another scoreless quarter ensued and Princeton closed things out riding a 6-2 run.

Johnson finished with 15 saves and three assists.
