BOSTON, Mass. (1/25/13) - Senior
All-America Greta Feldman finished second in the mile at the Boston University
Terrior Invitational on Friday, Jan. 25. Feldman clocked a 4:45.44 in a race
that featured 124 competitors.

NEW YORK (1/25/13) - The Princeton women's track & field
team won the New York Road Runners Saturday Night at The Armory II race on
Friday, Jan. 25 in the Tigers' first meet back from finals.
Princeton scored 188.50 points to finish 64.5 points ahead
of second-place team Maryland. Ten other teams followed including Ivy League
squads Penn and Columbia.
The Tigers grabbed big points in two events, scoring 31 in
the 3,000 and 29 in the mile.
Princeton went 1-3-4-5-6 in the 3,000 with senior Mel
Newbery finishing first at 9:47.41. Sophomore Erika Fluehr also ran under 10
minutes, clocking a 9:56.23 for third place. Freshman Lindsay Eysenbach, senior
Abby Hewitt and junior Marisa Cummings rounded out the point scorers.
The Tigers went 1-2-3-4 in the mile. Senior Alexis Mikaelian
won the race at 4:49.30 followed by sophomore Emily de La Bruyere at 4:51.04. Sophomore Jackie Nicholas and junior Molly Higgins clocked PRs at 4:54.36 and 4:55.36, respectively.
Sophomore Kim Mackay won the 1000 at 2:57.41, one of three
that ran under three minutes. Freshman Sarah Porter was a point scorer taking
sixth at 3:01.36.
Junior Kristin Smoot and senior Melissa Zajdel went 1-2 in
the 800. Smoot posted a time of 2:11.59 and Zajdel 2:11.70.
Another win came in the 500 by sophomore Cecilia Barowski.
She ran a 1:13.35 for the victory. Senior Joie Hand was the runner-up in the
400 crossing the line with a PR of 57.09.
In the sprints, senior Abidemi Adenikinju was third in both
the 60 and the 200. She clocked a 7.84 in the 60 and 25.79 in the 200. Senior
Erin Guty was fifth in the 60 at 7.87 and then finished third in the long jump
with a mark of 5.46 (17-11).
The 4x4 and 4x8 relays both took second place. Freshman
Meghan McMullin, Zajdel, Barowski and Hand ran 3:48.60 in the 4x4; sophomore
Rachel Skokowski, Higgins, Nicholas and Mikaelian ran 9:15.60 in the 4x4.
In the field events, junior Imani Oliver and senior Tory
Worthen were both winners. Oliver jumped to 12.00 (39-4.50) in the triple jump.
Worthen won the pole vault in a "jump off." Worthen cleared 3.90 (12-9.50) to
beat Penn's Davielle Brown of Penn.
Freshman Taylor Morgan placed third in the high jump,
clearing 1.66 (5-5.25).
Other point scorers include: junior Beth McKenna earned
points in both the 500 and the 60-meter hurdles, freshman Sara Ronde in the 200
and long jump, McMullin in the 400, sophomore Joanna Anyanwu in the 200,
freshman Julia Rizio in the 60, junior Theresa Kenneday and freshman Inka
Busack in the high jump. Junior Chelsea Cioffi recorded a PR in the weight throw with a toss of 15.26 (50-0.75) while earning points as well.
Princeton will be back at The Armory on Feb. 1, when it
competes in the Armory Collegiate Inviational.
