The Princeton sprint football team (0-1, 0-1 CSFL) remains at home this weekend, hosting conference rival Navy (1-0) on Saturday, Sept. 22. Kick off is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Princeton Stadium.

The Tigers are coming off a 23-16 season opening loss to Mansfield at home on Sept. 14. Princeton managed to keep the game within range for the entire first half, going into halftime down 11-10. Unable to capitalize on their offensive opportunities, Princeton was unable to take control of the game in the third quarter. Down 17-10 in the fourth quarter, Princeton had the ball deep in its half of the field with minutes left in regulation. Mansfield managed to return a pick-six with 1:39 to play in an effort to seal the victory. The Tigers responded with a touchdown of their own as the clock hit 00:00 to conclude the game.

Sean Conrad led the Princeton offense with 127 rushing yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Jaison Zachariah threw for 92 yards, including a touchdown to wide receiver Chris Cadman with seconds left in regulation.

Navy enters week two behind a 38-27 win over Coppin State on Sept. 14. The Mids took control in the first half with a 21-13 lead and held a 17-14 scoring advantage in the second half to open the year on a winning note. David Williams scored two of Navy's three rushing touchdowns and quarterback Lewis Correale was 6-for-13 and threw for 101 yards.

Last season's game between the Tigers and Mids on Oct. 21 was unable to be played, as a result of a small number of active healthy Princeton players.
