UT Martin Box Score | Coll. of Charleston Box Score
|Against UT Martin, Kayla Bose and Marissa Reynolds split the team's two hits. Against College of Charleston, Danielle Allen went 2 for 4 while Rachel Rendina, Cara Worden, Skye Jerpbak and Bose each had a hit.
|Against UT Martin, the Skyhawks used three walks, two singles and another batter reaching on an error to break open a 1-0 game in the seventh inning. Against College of Charleston, the Cougars used three hits and a walk to score twice in the sixth and open a 4-1 lead.
|• This was the first meeting between Princeton and UT Martin. Princeton and College of Charleston met twice in 1996 and 1997, both Princeton wins, but this was the first meeting since then.
• Princeton mounted a two-out rally in the fourth inning to tie the score at 1-1 against College of Charletson. With two on, Skye Jerpbak picked up Marissa Reynolds with a single. Jerpbak's RBI was her first since getting three against Delaware State on March 2, 2013.
• Princeton's rally against College of Charleston fell one swing short in the seventh. The Tigers capitalized on an error and a passed ball, coupled with a Kayla Bose single, to put runners on second and third with one out. Kate Miller had an RBI groundout to make it 4-2, and Rachel Rendina singled to score another run and make it 4-3. That put the tying run on first base, but a called strike three ended the game.
• Princeton is 0-4 for just the third time in program history, but both previous 0-4 starts ended up as Ivy League championship teams. Princeton started 0-4 in 1983 on the way to standing at 4-10 before winning eight of their last 11 games and going 6-0 in the Ivy League. In 1996, Princeton started 0-5 before going 47-1-1 and gaining a Women's College World Series berth.
• The College of Charleston game was the first start for freshman Erica Nori in the circle. Though fellow rookie Claire Klausner has made two relief appearances on the young season, Nori is the first freshman of the season to get a start in the circle.
