PRINCETON, N.J. (2/19/14) - The Princeton men's hockey team hosts No. 19 Colgate and No. 13 Cornell in the final home weekend of the season on Feb. 21 & 22. Both games will start at 7 p.m. Princeton will honor its 10 seniors following the Cornell game on Saturday.

EYE ON THE TIGERS
Princeton are coming off of a weekend split at Brown and No. 13 Yale. The Tigers topped Brown 3-2 and despite scoring five goals, lost 7-5 at Yale. Princeton is 5-20 overall and 4-14 in the ECAC, sitting in 12th place in the league standings.

The ECAC Hockey Player of the Week Andrew Ammon had a hand in all eight Princeton goals last weekend to increase his season totals to 10 goals and 10 assists. Ammon is on a five-game point streak. Senior Andrew Calof has had a point in each of the last six games and has 16 points on two goals and a team-high 14 assists. Ryan Siiro leads the rookies in scoring with 12 points on five goals and seven helpers. Junior Tucker Brockett adds 11 points and sophomore Jonathan Liau chips in 10. Senior Sean Bonar and freshman Colton Phinney continue to split time in goal. Bonar has an .882 save percentage and a 4.12 goals against average, while Phinney has a .900 save percentage and a 3.61 GAA.

THE PRINCETON/COLGATE SERIES
Colgate has a slight edge in the all-time series, 49-46-6 since the teams first meet during the 1935-36 season. Princeton does own a 26-21-4 lead when playing at Hobey Baker Rink. Colgate won the first meeting of the year, 3-1 at Starr Rink. Andrew Calof leads the Tigers with points against Colgate with 11 in seven games. Jack Berger and Aaron Kesselman both have four. Sean Bonar and Colton Phinney have both played one game against Colgate. Bonar has a .913 save percentage and a 4.20 GAA, while Phinney has a .906 save percentage and a 3.10 GAA.

SCOUTING THE RAIDERS
Colgate is third in the league standings with a 10-5-3 ECAC record. Ranked No. 19 in the nation, Colgate owns a 14-11-5 record. Since the new year, the Raiders are 7-2-2 and are unbeaten in the last three games after tying both Rensselaer and Union at home last weekend.

Five sophomores lead the team in scoring, led by Tyson Spink’s 25 points. He has a team-high 20 assists and five goals. Mike Borkowski has 24 points, followed by Tylor Spink with 22, Kyle Baun with 21 and Darcy Murphy with 20. Murphy has the most goals on the team with 13. Freshman Charlie Finn is 11-5-4 in goal with a .913 save percentage and a 2.58 GAA. He has started the last 12 games in goal.

THE PRINCETON/CORNELL SERIES
Cornell owns an 82-53-8 edge in the 100+ year history with Princeton. The Big Red have won the last three meetings including a 4-2 win in November in Ithaca. Andrew Calof has eight points in nine games and Andrew Ammon has four in seven games. Sean Bonar is 1-3 against Cornell with a 2.75 GAA and an .880 save percentage.

SCOUTING THE BIG RED
Cornell is tied for fourth in the league standings, along with Clarkson, with an 8-6-4 record and is looking to secure a bye in the first round of the ECAC Playoffs as well as the Ivy League title this weekend. With a 12-7-5 overall record, the Big Red are ranked No. 13 in the nation. Cornell is winless in its last three games (6-1 loss to Colgate, 4-1 to Union and 3-1 to Rensselaer) after a nine-game unbeaten streak of 5-0-4.

Junior Brian Ferlin (BOS) sits atop the scoring column with 10 goals and 12 assists for 22 points. Senior Dustin Mowrey and junior Joakim Ryan (SJS) both have a team-best 14 assists and have 20 and 19 points, respectively. Joel Lowry (LOS) also chips in 19 points. Junior John McCarron (EDM) follows with 18 points. Senior Andy Iles is 11-7-5 in net with a .914 save percentage and a 2.37 GAA.
