MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (11/30/13) - No. 1 Minnesota used balanced scoring with six goals from five different players as the Gophers defeated Princeton in women's hockey on Saturday, Nov. 30 at Ridder Arena.

Sophomore Kimberly Newell made 35 saves, her second-highest save total this season, but Minnesota was too much.

Dani Cameranesi led the team with two goals and one assist. She gave the Gophers a 1-0 lead with just 1:41 left in the first period and capped the game with a power-play goal in the third.

Minnesota added two more goals in the first five minutes of the second period and another one at the halfway point to take a 4-0 lead at the second intermission.

Hannah Brandt and Cameranesi scored within three minutes of each other in the third period for the final tallies of the game.

The Gophers only took one penalty in the game, leaving little for the Tigers' power play. Minnesota's power play was 1 for 3.

Amanda Leveille made 11 saves in goal for Minnesota, as the Gophers outshot PRinceton 48-11.

The teams will meet again tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m. (CT).
