The Princeton women's volleyball team will try to build on its two-match win streak and break into the top half of the Ivy League standings this weekend when it makes its final road trip of the season. The Tigers will head to both Harvard (Friday, 7) and Dartmouth (Saturday, 4) in hopes of avenging a pair of home losses; both matches will be streamed on the Ivy League Digital Network.

Princeton dropped a pair of home matches to Dartmouth and Harvard earlier this season, including a tough 3-2 decision to the Big Green. After falling in an early hole, Princeton rallied to win the third and fourth sets, but Dartmouth bounced back with a big effort in the fifth set to take the win.

That may have been the low weekend for Princeton this season, but the Tigers showed their resilience last weekend with a home sweep of both Columbia and Cornell. Freshman Cara Mattaliano, who ranks third in the league in both kills (3.32) and points (3.75) per set, was dominant over the weekend and earned her second Ivy League Rookie of the Week honor.

Fellow freshman Lauren Miller also had a strong showing and has moved into the Top 3 in the Ivy League in assists (8.82 per set). As she has gained experience, the Princeton offense has grown in efficiency, and it heads into the weekend hitting a second-best .239 in Ivy League matches.

Sophomore Kendall Peterkin continues to lead the Ivy League in both kills (3.51) and points (4.05) per set, while junior Tiana Woolridge ranks second in the league with a .342 hitting percentage.

Princeton will open the weekend Friday night against Harvard, which kept its title hopes alive last weekend with a 3-2 upset of Yale; it was the first loss for the Bulldogs since the 2011 Ivy season, and it keeps Harvard within two matches with four to play. The Crimson has been efficient on both sides, ranking second in the Ivy League in both hitting percentage and opponent hitting percentage.

Dartmouth is one match behind Princeton in the league standings, and it will honor its seniors Saturday afternoon before its match. Dartmouth has been led by Elisa Scudder, who ranks second in the Ivy League in both attack percentage and service aces.
