Berger and Sdao Take Part in Ottawa Senators Development Camp
Jack Berger '14 and Michael Sdao '13 became teammates once again as the pair took part in the 2013 Ottawa Senators Development Camp from July 3-7.
"I was very grateful for the opportunity to participate in Ottawa's development camp," Berger said. "Skating with such high-caliber players allowed me to challenge myself and to learn about what makes a player successful at the next level."
This is the second development camp Berger has participated in. He was invited to the New Jersey Devils camp last summer.
"The Senators have a strong commitment to player development. Seminars with nutrition experts, power skating clinics, and working with NHL strength coaches are just some of the high quality experiences that were provided at the camp. For collegiate players who have ambitions of playing in the NHL, development camps offer a glimpse into the daily lives of professional players, provide exposure to NHL scouts and coaching staffs, and foster relationships with NHL organizations. Participating in Ottawa's camp was very beneficial and educational for me as a player, and will allow me to make the most of my senior season and our quest for a national championship."
Berger begins his second-year of captaincy with Princeton this fall. He enters his season year with 43 points on 5 goals and 28 assists in 95 games. He had his most productive scoring year in 2011-12, finishing second on the team in scoring with 22 points on 10 goals and 12 assists with six multiple-point games.
