Fedun '11 Recalled by Edmonton Oilers

Princeton men's hockey alum Taylor Fedun '11 has been recalled to the Edmonton Oilers, the organization announced on Monday, Jan. 14.

"It's been a very long journey," Feun said when asked about his injury and rehab. "To finally being going back to Edmonton and having a shot at trying to get back in there is pretty special."

Fedun has played 35 games with the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League this season, recording nine points on two goals and seven assists. Fedun participated in the Oilers training camp but suffered a broken femour in the 2012 Oilers preseason that benched him for the year.

Edmonton has its first on-ice session today and opens the season on Sunday, Jan. 20 on the road against the Canucks.

An All-America at Princeton, Fedun played in 127 career games. He scored 20 goals and 48 assists for 68 points. He is also +41 and has accumulated 154 penalty minutes. As a senior and team captain, Fedun had 22 points on 10 goals and 12 assists in 29 games from the blue line. Additional accoldaes include first-team All-ECAC, first-team All-Ivy, second-team All-ECAC, second-team All-Ivy, threetime ECAC All-Academic team selection. Fedun left Princeton as part of the winningest class in program history with 72 wins in four years.
