Everything seemed to fall into place for the Princeton women's basketball team Tuesday evening in Jadwin Gym. In front of the home crowd for the first time this season, the Tigers put on an all-around sound performance to hand local rival Rider an 88-42 loss.

Three players scored in double figures, the team nearly shot 50 percent, going 49.3 percent (34-for-69) from the field, and all five freshmen saw minutes. Coming off its loss at Marist, Princeton found its rhythm and saw contributions from every active player.

Rider opened the game with a slight advantage, 7-5, at 16:35, but it would be the only lead the visiting Broncs owned in the 40-minute contest.

The Tigers countered with a dominating 22-3 run, including a 14-0 rally, over a 10-minute span to assume control for good. Behind its well-orchestrated offensive output, Princeton went into halftime holding a 41-23 lead.

Over the final 20-minute period, the Tigers saw the depth of its bench. All five newcomers made their Jadwin debut, including Annie Tarakchian and Taylor Williams seeing their first collegiate minutes. The freshmen earned valuable playing time, simultaneously seeing action on the floor for a 4:29-minute run.

The freshmen combined for 26 of the Tigers' 47 bench points.

While the depth of the Princeton lineup bolstered its play, seniors Megan Bowen and Niveen Rasheed helped ignite it from the get-go. For the second time in as many games, Bowen had 12 points, going 4-for-5 from the stripe. As for Rasheed, she recorded her first double-double of the year with 17 points and 11 rebounds. She went 5-for-9 from the field and was a perfect 7-for-7 from the line. Off the bench, sophomore Blake Dietrick was able to capitalize on openings from beyond the arc to score in double figures for the first time this season. The guard had 11 points, going 3-for-4 from three-point land.

Princeton held Rider to 29.2 percent (14-for-28) from the field, while outrebounding the Broncs 49-27. The Tigers had 23 assists and 18 steals, which they parlayed into 25 points.

With this confidence-boosting win under their belts, the Tigers (2-1) look to propel that momentum into this weekend's trip to Southern California. Princeton will face UC Riverside on Friday, Nov. 23 at 10 p.m. ET, before heading to UCLA for a Sunday, Nov. 25 meeting at 4 p.m. ET.
