While some fall teams still remain in competition, including two in the NCAA tournament, TigerCast opens its winter previews with conversations with women's basketball head coach Courtney Banghart and men's hockey head coach Bob Prier.
Banghart has guided Princeton to three straight Ivy League championships, and Princeton was picked to finish first in the 2012-13 preseason poll. With reigning Ivy League Player of the Year Niveen Rasheed leading a cast of experienced veterans, and a highly touted freshman class, Banghart is looking forward to seeing just how her team handles a tough early schedule. Princeton opens its season Sunday afternoon at St. Joseph's.
Prier is in his second year as the hockey head coach, and he talks in the interview about how much farther ahead his program is now, as compared to this point last season. The Tigers open ECAC play this weekend with a home doubleheader; following those two games with Cornell and Colgate, the Tigers will be home only one more time in 2012. Prier talks about the growth of the program, his junior captain and expectations for the weekend.
