UTICA, N.Y.  (4/4/14) - The Utica Comets announced today that the club has signed forward Andrew Calof '14 to an amateur tryout contract (ATO). Utica is the America Hockey League affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks.

Calof recently completed his college hockey career at Princeton. He led the team in scoring all four years, including this past year when he was out with an injury for 10 games. Calof collected 21 points in 21 games with four goals and 17 assists.

During his junior year, Calof was named second-team All-ECAC and was a finalist for the league's Player of the Year. Calof finished third in the league in scoring with 13 goals and 23 assists for 26 points. He was named the Hockey Commissioners' Association National Player of the Month in January, the first Princeton player to earn the honor.

Calof became the 14th player in program history to join the century club when he scored the game winner in overtime at Harvard in the final game of the 2012-13 regular season. He is the first junior to score 100 points since 1991, the year he was born, when Andre Faust tallied 100 as a Tiger.

As a sophomore All-Ivy League selection Calof had 26 points on 13 goals and 13 assists in 29 games played. He collected eight multiple-point games and scored three game-winning goals.

His rookie campaign saw him earn the 2011 ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Year award. He finished with 33 points, Princeton's first 30-point scorer since 2007-08 and the first rookie to lead the team in scoring since 2003-04. Calof was the only player in the ECAC to average better than a point per game in the regular season. Additionally he was named third-team All-ECAC, ECAC All-Rookie Team, Ivy League co-Rookie of the Year  and first-team All-Ivy League.

Calof capped his career with 123 points on 44 goals and 79 assists in 117 games, averaging 1.05 points per game.
