NEWARK, N.J. (8/7/13) - Princeton sophomore Michael Ambrosia took part in his second New Jersey Devils Development Camp, as the rookies hit the ice at the AmeriHealth Pavillion in July for the week-long camp.

Ambrosia was invited to the again in 2012 as well.

In the first scrimmage of the camp, Ambrosia scored for his White team to give them the lead but eventually lost to Red in a shootout. Tending for Team White was Anthony Brodeur, son of Martin Brodeur.

"I am very grateful to have had another opportunity to attend Devils camp this summer," Ambrosia said. "This year's daily routine was very similar to last year's, but this year we were very fortunate to work with the NHL coaching staff throughout the whole week. It was a great experience to be exposed to the Devils coaches who have played and now coach at the highest level and to be able to learn about their philosophy on and off the ice. We learned about many aspects of the game that may seem like nuances, but set the NHL players apart. Hopefully I can apply some of those things to my game this year. I know our team is very excited about our potential this year and everyone is looking forward to returning to school.

Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience to be able to learn from the Devils organization and play alongside a high caliber group of players."
