Montreal Canadiens Sign Condon to Two-Year Contract
MONTREAL (5/8/13) - Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin announced today the signing of goaltender Mike Condon '13 to a two-year contract (2013-14 to 2014-15).

"We are beyond happy for Mike," Princeton head coach Bob Prier said. "This is a tremendous opportunity for him and he deserves it. He worked incredibly hard this past season with coach Greg Gardner and we're so proud of him."
After Princeton's season concluded Condon signed an ATO with the Ontario Reign (ECHL), where he played four games. He posted a 1.48 goals against average and a .943 save percentage and and shortly thereafter signed a professional tryout agreement with the Houston Aeros (AHL).Condon has played in seven games with the Aeros, including three in the Calder Cup playoffs. During the regular season he went 3-0 with a 2.39 GAA and a .919 save percentage.
At Princeton, Condon played in 48 career games and posted an 18-22-8 record. He capped his career with a .923 save percentage and a 2.67 goals against average. During his senior year, he made 22 starts and finished with a .923 save percentage and a 2.48 GAA. He made 30 or more saves in seven games and was named the ECAC Goalie of the Week on Feb. 12 after a sweep of Cornell and Colgate on the road, making a season-high 39 saves against the Big Red.
Condon joins a list of seven other Princeton hockey players that are under NHL contracts including: Jeff Halpern (Montreal Canadiena), George Parros (Florida Panthers), Darroll Powe (New York Rangers), Kevin Westgarth (Carolina Hurricanes), Taylor Fedun (Edmonton Oilers), Mike Moore (Nashville Predators) and Michael Sdao (Ottawa Senators).
