2011: A second-team All-Southern honoree as a freshman on the Princeton women's water polo team. She ranked third on the team with 32 goals and contributed 16 assists, 34 steals and 36 drawn ejections. McBee scored goals in 23 of Princeton's 29 games and had three three-goal performances. Those came in wins over Brown and Concordia and a loss to Long Beach State. McBee added three more two-goal games. Three was also her high in assists for the season as she notched three helpers in a win over Cal State Bakersfield and a loss to Maryland at Easterns. McBee added a season-high of five steals in that loss to Maryland, which was one of five games during the season in which she had three or more steals.
Before Princeton
McBee is a 2010 graduate of Palos Verdes High School. In high school, she competed for the swimming and water polo teams and was a four-year varsity starter for the water polo team. She was named Palos Verdes High School 2010 Female Athlete of the Year, captained the water polo team in her junior and senior seasons and helped lead high school team to first ever CIF Southern Section Division II title as a senior and semifinal appearance in 2009.
McBee was named the CIF Division II MVP Player of the Year as a senior, All-CIF first team as a junior and senior, All-CIF second team as a sophomore, and All-CIF third team as a freshman. She was also selected NISCA All-America in 2009 and 2010, four-time Daily Breeze All-Area and All-Bay League selection, and named Player of the Year by the Daily Breeze in both 2009 and 2010. McBee was the 2010 LA Times Student Athlete of the Year, a four-year Academic All-American, named Bay League and the Palos Verdes High School Most Valuable Player as both a junior and senior, helping team to a 33-1 record in the Bay League over four years. She was named the team's best defensive player in 2008 and best offensive player in 2007.
McBee played club water polo for LAWPC from 2004-10 and is a six-time All-America at the Junior Olympics, winning one silver and three bronze medals before earning a gold in 2010. She also brought home the gold at the U.S. Women's Open tournament in 2010 and two gold medals at U.S. National Club Championships. McBee was additionally a member of the Coastal California ODP Zone team from 2005-2010, won gold in 2005 and 2007, and silver in 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010 and was named to the ODP All Regional Tournament Team. McBee has been a member of the U.S. National Team for her age group since 2007.
