Box Score

PRINCETON, N.J. (9/15/13) - Freshman Bryan Windsor scored his first career goal as the Princeton men's soccer team earned its first win of the season, a 1-0 victory over Seton Hall on Sunday, Sept. 15 on Myslik Field at Roberts Stadium.

The lone goal came in the 63rd minute with sophomores Thomas Sanner and Nico Hurtado assisting. Sanner cross a shot into the box from the left side and it was blocked by a Seton Hall defender and right to the feet of Hurtado at the top of the 18. Hurtado fired and keeper Julian Spindler made the stop by the ball but didn't control the rebound as Windsor pounced on it and fired it home.

Senior keeper Seth MacMillan made four saves in his first win of the season. His biggest save game in the game's final five minutes when Seton Hall started to get a sense of urgency. A corner kick from Samuel Geiler reached the far side of the box and Bolu Akinyode got a foot on it and fired on goal. MacMillan was right in position to stop the shot and keep his team ahead 1-0.

Spindler made one save and a team save was credited about 10 minutes after the Princeton goal when Hurtado couldn't get enough mustard on the ball as a defender came screaming on to toe the ball off the line.

The Pirates had a 15-10 advantage in shots, while the Tigers had a 5-2 edge in shots on goal and took one more corner kick, 8-7.

Princeton now 1-2 on the season faces its first non-New Jersey squad of the season when it travels to Loyola on Wednesday, Sept. 18 for a 7 p.m., game.
