PRINCETON (4/23/13) -- The Princeton football team will host its annual spring game and women's clinic this weekend on Powers Field at Princeton Stadium. The spring game will begin at 10 a.m., on Saturday morning and is open to the public. The women's clinic will take place on Sunday and benefits the Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
Princeton's 12-practice spring season will culminate with Saturday's game. Princeton went 5-5 last season, a significant improvement over its 1-9 mark the previous season, and stayed in the Ivy League championship race until the final day. The Tigers also earned their first bonfire since 2006 with victories over both Harvard (39-34) and Yale (29-7).
One day after the Spring Game will be the Women's Clinic, which is run by the Princeton football coaches. The afternoon, which invites women of the surrounding communities to come to campus and learn more about the sport in a hands-on teaching and coaching environment, will begin with registration at 12:30, and will including a competition period at 3:15 pm.
