Following a record-breaking performance in Princeton's 51-48 triple-overtime win at Harvard, junior quarterback Quinn Epperly was named both The Sports Network National Offensive Player of the Week and the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week.

Epperly completed a Princeton-record 37 of 50 passes for 321 yards and six touchdowns; the touchdown total broke the team single-game record and matched the Ivy League record held by former Brown quarterback James Perry, who is now the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Princeton.

Both records were broken on Epperly's final pass of the game, a six-yard completion to Roman Wilson in the back right corner of the end zone for the winning points in the victory over No. 23 Harvard. It was deja vu for the duo, as the two connected from 36 yards with 13 seconds remaining in a 39-34 win over the Crimson in the 2012 meeting.

Epperly also became the first Princeton player to score more than 10 touchdowns both rushing and passing in a single season; he now has 15 passing touchdowns, second most in the Ivy League, to go along with his Ivy-best 11 rushing touchdowns.

"Quinn played another outstanding game and we are excited for him to win these prestigious awards," said head coach Bob Surace. "He continues to make great decisions and find ways to help the offense score points."

Epperly is the first Princeton player to be named The Sports Network National Player of the Week since Nov. 13, 2006, when senior quarterback Jeff Terrell completed 32 of 47 passes for 445 yards and three touchdowns in a 34-31 comeback win over Yale.

While leading the Ivy League in both pass efficiency and scoring, he also has a presence in the FCS national scene as well:

• ranks second nationally in points responsible for per game (26.7)
• ranks third nationally in completion percentage (70.5%)
• ranks third nationally in passing efficiency (174.8)
• ranks seventh nationally in scoring per game (11.0) -- that total is for his 11 rushing TDs only
• is the only player in all of FCS with double-digit rushing and passing touchdowns this season
• matched an Ivy League record with six passing touchdowns to end Harvard's 15-game home win streak in a 51-48 3 OT win over the weekend

Epperly, who has 15 passing touchdowns and only one interception on the season, has led Princeton to five straight wins and a share of the top spot in the Ivy League standings.
He is also one of three players in the league currently who has won an Ivy League Player of the Week honor at least three times in his career.

This weekend, he will see the only one with more than three. Cornell quarterback Jeff Mathews, a four-time recipient, broke James Perry's all-time Ivy League passing record earlier this season and has thrown for 10,417 yards in his career and is 3-0 against Princeton. Last season, he completed 35 of 51 passes for 525 yards and four touchdowns in a 37-35 Cornell victory.
