The Princeton women's volleyball team sent its seniors out with a victory while providing optimism for its future in a 3-0 home win over Brown in its season finale. All four members of the Class of 2014 played in the win, though the entire starting lineup will return for at least one more season.
Princeton avenged an earlier 3-2 loss at Brown with a 25-20, 25-22, 25-19 win over the Bears to finish its season 10-14 overall, 6-8 in the Ivy League. Though Princeton fell a win short of the .500 mark in Ivy League play, the Tigers did double its win total in league play during the second half of the Ivy season.
The play of junior middles Nicole Kincade and Tiana Woolridge were crucial in the Princeton win, as the duo combined for 20 kills with only two errors. Woolridge added a match-high six blocks and hit .500 during the match, while Kincade hit .450.
Sophomore Kendall Peterkin had eight kills for Princeton, while freshman Cara Mattaliano had six kills to go along with 11 digs. Sophomore libero Sarah Daschbach led all players with 21 digs, while freshman setter Lauren Miller had 32 assists and 13 digs.
