It is the only season sisters Gracie and Eliza Stone will be competing together for the Princeton women's fencing team, and it got off to a strong start Saturday at Penn State.
Competing in the Penn State Garret Open to begin the 2012-13 campaign, freshman Gracie Stone placed second in the 41-woman saber event, while senior Eliza Stone was right behind in third. Junior Eve Levin had another medal finish, placing third in the foil.
Princeton had six top-10 finishes among its 12 entrants in the meet, and 11 finished in the top 20 of their weapons. Competing schools included host Penn State, Harvard, Yale, Johns Hopkins, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Penn and Temple.
Complete results are available here. The men will take to the strip Sunday beginning at 8:30 a.m.
