The Princeton fencing program was well represented at the recent World Cadet and Junior Fencing Championships in Moscow recently, including both current and future Tigers.

Current freshman Katharine Holmes finished ninth of 114 junior epeeists and won a bronze medal with the U.S. team as one of 25 nations in the epee event. Holmes went undefeated in pool competition, as did her future teammate, incoming freshman Anna Van Brummen, who finished 21st overall.

In the direct elimination portion, Holmes advanced to the round of 16 before bowing out 15-10, and Van Brummen advanced to the round of 32 before coming up on the short end of a 15-14 finish.

In the men's competition, foilist Michael Dudey, an incoming freshman, won a gold medal with Team USA ahead of 22 other nations while placing 46th of 122 individually.

Incoming freshman Jack Hudson competed in epee and finished 71st of 150 fencers while his native Great Britain placed 18th of 32 nations.
