NEW YORK -- Princeton enjoyed a successful day at the United States Collegiate Squad Championships in New York Sunday as the women swept all three weapons and the men had a second-place finish and two fifths.

The six weapons combined for 308 victories, more than any other of the more than 20 schools in attendance. Three of the national top five teams were competing at the event, including Princeton, St. John's and Notre Dame.

The women's foil squad of Lucile Jarry, Eve Levin, Brianna Martin and Ambika Singh was seeded second and rolled over top-seeded Notre Dame in the final, 45-18. Princeton's women's epee foursome, which included Phoebe Caldwell, Christina Efthimion, Katharine Holmes and Hannah Safford, was also seeded second, knocked off fourth seeded Northwestern 45-30 in the final. Women's saber, seeded second, defeated top-seeded Columbia 45-35 in the final with the foursome of Joanna Cichomski, Sarah Pak, Eliza Stone and Diamond Wheeler.

The men's epee squad had a silver-medal finish on the efforts of Edward Kelley, Andrew Meyers, James O'Donnell and Jonathan Yergler, winning its way to the final before falling 45-32 to top-seeded St. John's. Men's foil, seeded first with Robert Daniluk, Marcus Howard, David Mandle and Alexander Mills, won its first match over NYU before losing to ninth-seeded Sacred Heart, 45-44. Men's saber, with Philip Dershwitz, Stephen Moch, Robert Stone and Michael Wiest, was seeded fifth and fell to fourth-seeded Notre Dame in its second match, also 45-44.

Princeton will be away from competition next weekend before the NCAA regional comes to Easton, Pa., on March 10.
