Fencers Remain Undefeated Midway Through Ivy Round-Robin

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Princeton's women are 3-0 and the men are 2-0 after the first of two days at the Ivy League round-robin event at Yale.

On the men's side, behind Princeton's 2-0 start are Harvard at 2-1, Columbia and Yale each at 1-1, Brown at 1-2 and Penn at 1-3. On the women's side, Columbia and Princeton are both 3-0, Harvard and Yale are both 2-1, Brown and Penn are 1-3 and Cornell is 0-4.

Much is yet to be decided Sunday when the meet resumes. Princeton's men, ranked No. 2 in the nation, will meet No. 10 Yale as well as Columbia and Brown. The Tiger women, also ranked No. 2, defeated both fellow top-10 foes today in No. 7 Harvard and No. 9 Penn.

Princeton's women began the day with a 23-4 win over Cornell followed by 16-11 win over Penn and an 18-9 win over Harvard. The Tiger men started with a 19-8 over Penn and a 14-13 win over Harvard.

Sunday will begin at 10 a.m. for both Tiger teams against Yale, followed by Columbia at 11:30 and Brown at 1:45 p.m.
