The Princeton men's volleyball team will open its 2013 home schedule Tuesday night at 7 pm when it hosts the Scarlet Raiders of Rutgers-Newark. The match will feature the two EIVA leaders in kills this season.
The match will be streamed live on GoPrincetonTigers.TV (subscription required).
Princeton is 1-2 on the season, 0-1 in EIVA competition, and is coming off a 3-1 loss at George Mason Friday night. The Tigers have been led by junior Pat Schwagler, who ranks second in the EIVA in both kills (3.83) and points (4.4) per set.
Princeton has also gotten a productive start from freshman Devin Stearns, who is averaging 2.6 kills per set and had 11 kills and two aces Friday at George Mason.
The only player in the league that ranks ahead of Schwagler in both kills and points is Rutgers sophomore Manuel Felipez, who is averaging 4.4 kills and 4.8 points per set. Rutgers is 2-1 on the season, though it has yet to play an EIVA match.
This will be Princeton's only home match in February; the Tigers will play six home matches in March.
