Week #1 Poll

NEW ORLEANS (9/13/12) - The Princeton men's cross country team jumped six places to No. 15 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association national poll. The Tigers were ranked No. 21 in the preseason poll before nabbing the No. 15 spot in the first poll of the season.

Princeton won the Spiked Shoe Invitational last weekend, with runners going 1-3-4-5-12. Junior Alejandro Arroyo Yamin took the individual title running 26:00.

The Tigers are now the No. 1-ranked team in the Mid-Atlantic region pushing Georgetown and Villanova down to No. 2 and 3.

The Tigers return to the course on Friday, Sept. 28 when the team splits up to take on the Notre Dame and Paul Short Invitationals.
