Jarrett Reaches New Heights in the High Jump on Day 2 of UCF Invite
ORLANDO (3/23/13) – Junior Omar Jarrett set a new personal best in the high jump as the Princeton men’s track & field team wrapped Day 2 of the University of Central Florida Invitational on Saturday, March 23.
Jarrett finished second in the high jump as he cleared 2.08 (6-9.75) on his third attempt at the height.
In the 100, freshman John Hill was the runner-up at 10.78, while classmate Dre Nelson was fourth at 10.87. Nelson, Hill were joined by and juniors Daniel McCord and Tom Hopkins in the 4x100 relay. The relay ran 41.31 to finish second.
The Tigers went 1-2-3 in the 110-meter hurdles. Senior Richard Sheldon won with a time of 14.51. Sophomore Rob Mohr was second at 14.56 and freshman Gregory Cadlwell third at 15.14.
In the 400 hurdles, junior Tom Scott was third at 55.50, while freshman Jordan Myers clocked a 55.72 to take fourth.
The middle and distance corps will compete at the Raleigh Relays on March 29-30.
