The Princeton sprint football team concluded the 2012
campaign with a 36-21 loss at Penn Friday evening in Philadelphia. The Tigers
managed to come within a possession in the third quarter, but the Quakers surged
past a rallying Princeton side (0-7, 0-6 CSFL).
Penn jumped out to a 14-0 advantage in the first quarter,
before the Tigers responded with a touchdown of their own. Joe Bush threw a
72-yard touchdown to Nicolas Lulli with 3:16 left.
Down 26-7, Bush found an open Sean Conrad for a 12-yard
touchdown run with 10:25 remaining in the third quarter. The Tigers then made
it a one-possession contest, 26-21, with a Bush one-yard touchdown seven
minutes later.
Bush threw 207 yards, going 12-for-33, in his complete game
performance. Defensively, Conrad had a team-high 12 tackles, while Ross Cadman made Princeton's lone interception.
Princeton's second half rally would fall short, as Penn
countered with 10 unanswered points over the fourth quarter.
