The fifth-ranked Princeton heavyweights made a strong run for the Content Cup, but the No. 2 Brown Bears were too strong in the regular season finale for both teams. Brown broke a 7-7 deadlock in the all-time Content Cup series with a 3.4-second victory over the home Tigers.

Brown won its second straight Content Cup, given to the winner of the first varsity race, with a winning time of 5:53.7. Princeton, which entered the weekend ranked fifth overall and fourth in the latest Eastern seeding poll, stayed close but fell in a time of 5:57.1

The Bears swept all three varsity races, including a narrow win in the third varsity competition. The Princeton freshmen continued an impressive season by topping its Brown counterpart with a time of 6:02.3. The Princeton freshman boat was ranked second in the latest Eastern seeding poll, while Brown was one spot below the Orange and Black.

Princeton will enter the 2008 postseason with a 6-2 record and an impressive second-place performance in the Copley Cup grand final at the 2008 San Diego Crew Classic. The 2006 Eastern champion, Princeton will look to win its second Eastern and Ivy League title in three years when it heads to Worcester, Mass., on May 18 for the EARC Championships.
