Princeton Head Coach Kristen Holmes-Winn

"I am very proud of the team and Maryland was absolutely outstanding. I thought they played a tremendous match being so well coached and having such a history as they do. As I said to these ladies in pregame, passion would win this game, not pedigree. I was pleased with how resilient our team was, being able to weather the momentum and stay professional about what we were doing."

"They knew she (Benvenuti) could make the stroke. We don't call our team money for nothing."

"UNC is just tremendous. There are no weak links, and they have amazing depth and move the ball really well. Craddock is one of the better players in division one, and she will be a lot for us to manage. We will have a good look at the film tonight and figure out how we are going to match-‐up for Sunday. For us, it's just about rest and recovery right now and celebrating this moment."

Princeton freshman midfielder Teresa Benvenuti

"I was just thinking this has to go in. I didn't have a doubt that it wouldn't go in. I needed to have the confidence, so I was just thinking I'm going to score this and we are going to go to the finals."

"I haven't made a stroke in practice all season."

Princeton senior forward Kathleen Sharkey

"She (Benvenuti) has the right mindset in pressure situations like that and we never doubted her."

"Once they tied up the game, I never doubted our team. I knew we were going to find a way to put the ball in the net. We just needed to persist and keep doing what we were doing."

Maryland Head Coach Missy Meharg

"I am very proud of the Maryland team. We played a tremendous game and stuck to the plan. Princeton is just a fast team and their counter attack is probably the best in the NCAA. Ali McEvoy and our deep defense controlled that speed for most of the game, but credit to a fast and strong Princeton team."

"We started out a little bit slow this season, with some players competing abroad, but we definitely evolved. All of us as coaches know that it is all about in November, and I am not surprised we put our best game together tonight and I am really thankful for that."

Maryland junior back Ali McEvoy

"We did the best we could with our defense trying to tackle outside the circle, but sometimes it doesn't fall your way."

"One of our mottos is to never stop believing, and we left everything we could have out on that field. I am so proud and honored to be a part of something so special."
