Princeton defeated Cornell 69-48 Saturday night in Jadwin Gym to pick up the program's first Ivy League win of the season. The Tigers led by as many as 25 points in the win and never trailed after a 10-1 first-half run erased an early Cornell lead that was never larger than three points.

The win was the 50th in Mitch Henderson's coaching career at Princeton, making him the ninth coach in Princeton history to reach the half-century mark.

49.0-34.1: Princeton outshot Cornell 49 percent to 34.1 percent, leading to nine more made buckets on five more attempts. Three Tigers made more than half their attempts, including Spencer Weisz (6-7), Steven Cook (5-7) and T.J. Bray (5-8).

Chris Clement hit a 3-pointer with 10:37 to go in the first half that made it 15-9 and capped a 10-1 Princeton run to erase an early 3-point Cornell lead and give the Tigers the lead for good.

• Princeton has hosted Columbia and Cornell back-to-back every year since 1958 and has only been swept once, in 1966. The Tigers were able to continue that run with tonight's win.

• Spencer Weisz led Princeton in scoring (18 points) to mark the second game this season that he has led the Tigers in points. The other occasion was two weeks ago against Kean when he was one of three Tigers with 15 points.

• Princeton's largest lead was 25 as late as with fewer than eight minutes to go in the game. Cornell led by three on two occasions, both before six minutes were gone in the first half.

• Spencer Weisz and Steven Cook each had career-high scoring totals, Weisz with 18 (previous best 17 vs. FDU in December), Cook with 13 (previous best 5, last vs. Columbia last night).

• T.J. Bray upped his career scoring total to 821 with 17 tonight. Bray stands as the program's active scoring leader.

• Cornell's 48 points was a season-low total for a Princeton opponent and the lowest since Columbia scored 40 last season in Manhattan.

• Princeton has shot better than 40 percent from the field in each of the last seven games.

• Cornell's six assists were the fewest for a Princeton opponent since Pacific had just two in December.

Princeton will visit Brown Friday in Providence. The Bears defeated Dartmouth Saturday night to improve to 4-2 in conference play.
