PRINCETON, N.J. (11/9/13) - Junior Tucker Brockett assisted on all three Princeton goals and senior Andrew Ammon scored twice as the men's hockey team lost a 6-3 game to Brown before 2,073 fans at Hobey Baker Rink on Saturday, Nov. 9.

Brown converted on both power-play opportunities in the first period and scored three goals in the first seven minutes of the second to take a 5-1 lead.

Brown converted on its first power-play opportunity less than three minutes into the game on a goal from Matt Lorito, and had another by Matt Wahl with 43 seconds left in the period. In between the goals, Ammon scored is first goal for the Tigers.

Ammon knotted the game at 1-1 as he out muscled the Brown defense. He intercepted a behind-the-goal pass, and after briefly losing it, he forced Brown to give it up again just to the right of the goal. Brockett put a shot on net and the rebound was slotted to Ammon for the goal at 7:09 of the first.

Dennis Robertson, Matt Naclerio and Matt Wahl each scored even-strength goals for Brown early in the second period giving the Bears the 5-1 edge.

Seniro Jack Berger cut the Tigers' defict back with a power-play goal with 58 seconds left in the second as he tipped in a shot from the point by Tom Kroshus after getting the puck along the left boards from Brockett.

A short-handed goal at 2:30 of the third period by Naclerio came nine seconds after Kyle Kramer was sent to the box for boarding, putting the game further out of reach for the Tigers.

Ammon notched his second of the night midway through the third. Brockett intercepted a dump at the blue line and ripped that was deflected and then picked up by Jonathan Liau. Liau sent the puck into the slot for Ammon and he put it away.

Brown's freshmen goaltender Tyler Steel made 22 saves and Princeton senior Sean Bonar made 26 saves as Brown outhsot Princeton 32-25, thanks to an 18-7 differential in the middle frame.

Princeton falls to 1-5 on the season and 0-4 in the ECAC, while Brown moves to 3-2-1 overall and 1-2-1 in league play.
