The Princeton men's golf team posted its best round in its last round Sunday at the Brickyard Collegiate Championship in Macon, Ga., finishing 12th overall.

Princeton cut 15 shots off its Friday total in Saturday's second round and took four more off its Saturday total in Sunday's final round. The Tigers were one of only two teams in the 14-team field to post lower rounds each day than the last.

Mercer won its home tournament by two shots over Georgia Tech, which was ranked No. 4 in the Golf World/Nike Golf preseason poll.

Greg Jarmas finished as the top Tiger at 2-over, tying for 28th overall. Mercer's Emmanuel Kountakis and Hans Reimers and Georgia Tech's Seth Reeves all finished 54 holes atop the individual leaderboard at 9-under.

The Tigers will return to competition at the Temple Invitational Oct. 12-13.
