One has a key league match Friday against the top-ranked team in the Ivy League. The other spends Friday starting the long journey towards the 2013 football season. Women's tennis head coach Laura Granville and junior wide receiver Roman Wilson join the latest edition of TigerCast.
Granville is in her first season as the head coach of the Princeton women's tennis team, which will host two-time champion Yale and Brown this weekend. A two-time former NCAA champion, Granville had an impressive professional career that included at least one trip to the third round of every major. She talks about her journey from the Round of 16 at Wimbledon to the Lenz Tennis Center, where she hopes Princeton can begin a championship run this weekend.
Wilson caught seven touchdowns, including one of the most memorable in the last few decades, for Princeton last season and will lead the Tigers into the spring practice season Friday. After two injury-plagued seasons, Wilson finally had a major impact on the offense with 37 catches and seven total touchdowns. None, of course, was as memorable as the 36-yard score with 13 seconds left of Princeton's 39-34 comeback win over Harvard. Wilson gives a few final thoughts on 2012, the importance of spring ball and what is tougher, late-game drives or national anthems.
