Princeton won five of six events during an impressive Day 1 at the 2012 Brown Invitational, held at the brand new Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center in Providence, and will enter Saturday with a 94-point lead over Yale.

Princeton, which won both relays and a trio of individual events, currently has 343 points, while Yale is second with 249 points. Dartmouth is third with 197, while host Brown has 149 points.

Princeton opened the night with a hard-fought victory in the 200 free relay, as the quartet of Lisa Boyce, Sada Stewart, Elizabeth McDonald and Carter Stephens held off Yale for a win in 1:32.80. Senior Jillian Altenburger finished second in the 500 free with a time of 4:51.49, while freshman India Boland placed seventh in 4:54.87 and junior Maureen McCotter took eighth in 4:57.53.

Two of the top swimmers in the Ivy League met in the 50 free, and Boyce topped Yale senior Alex Forrester in a B-cut time of 22.52 to take the win. Stephens added a sixth-place finish in 23.61, while Larson finished eighth in 23.88.

Junior Rachel Zambrowicz, a former Ivy League Championships Diver of the Meet, won the 3-meter competition with a score of 265.65.
