PRINCETON (11/24/12) - The Princeton women's hockey team turned the tables on eighth-ranked Ohio State and rallied for a 2-1 win on Saturday afternoon at Hobey Baker Rink. Princeton scored both of its goals in the third period to overcome a deficit a day after the Buckeyes did the same in the third period to rally for a win.

Princeton drew even 14 seconds into the third period when Alex Kinney scored on a blast from the top of the right circle after Princeton won the opening faceoff of the period and controlled possession until the Kinney shot. Corey Stearns won that opening faceoff and assisted on the Kinney goal for her team-best 13th helper of the season.

The Tigers and Buckeyes traded power-play chances through the middle of the period before Brianna Leahy scored her second goal of the weekend and third of the year at 16:46 to put Princeton ahead. The goal came off the rush with assists from Brianne Mahoney and Olivia Mucha as Leahy finished by driving to the net for the go-ahead score.

Kimberley Newell made a game-high 13 saves in the third period to keep Ohio State off the scoreboard and notch her fourth win of the season. Lisa Steffes made her first start for Ohio State and had 21 saves in the loss.

Ally Tarr, who had three assists in Friday's win for Ohio State, scored the lone Buckeye goal midway through the first period, scoring on a rebound from the left side of the net.

Princeton improved to 4-6-2 with the win, while Ohio State fell to 11-5-0. The Tigers host Union and Rensselaer net weekend.
