The No. 18 Princeton women's water polo team wrapped up its California road swing by splitting results Tuesday. The Tigers downed Azusa Pacific 17-7, following their 16-8 loss to No. 4 Arizona State. Princeton heads back east with a 20-3 overall, 2-0 Southern record.

Despite jumping out with a 1-0 lead in the first quarter on Arizona State, the Sun Devils responded with six unanswered points to take control of the game for good. Both sides would score four points apiece in the second quarter, but the Tigers were unable to find a momentum push in the second half as ASU outscored Princeton 6-3 to conclude the game.

Katie Rigler scored a team-leading three goals, while Camille Hooks had four steals and Molly McBee drew three ejections. Goalie Kristen Ward tallied eight saves versus the fourth-ranked Sun Devils.

After suffering their second loss in as many games to ASU, the Tigers responded with a dominating double figure victory over Azusa Pacific, 17-7. Princeton took control immediately with a six-goal first quarter, rallying an 11-2 first half score. The Tigers closed things out outscoring Azusa 6-5.

Saranna Soroka scored a team-leading six goals, marking a career-high. Freshmen Ashley Hatcher and Jessie Holechek tallied three goals apiece, while classmate Kelly Gross posted five assists and three steals.

Ward played the first two quarters in the cage, tallying five saves. Katlin Poladian took over goalie duties in the third and fourth quarters and made three saves.

Princeton returns to action on Friday, Mar. 30 at conference rival George Washington. Game time is slated for 8 p.m. The following day, the Tigers head to Maryland for a 10 a.m. meeting.
