Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium • Cambridge, Mass.

Box Score

8:33: Harvard's Joan Fleischman scored, assisted by Elizabeth Weisman. Fleischman took control of a loose ball in the box and knocked it in.

43:40: Harvard's Joan Fleischman scored, assisted by Karly Zlatic. Fleischman put in a rebound off a free kick by Zlatic.

44:59: Harvard's Margaret Purce scored on a free kick, unassisted.

86:48: Harvard's Margaret Purce took control of a ball as the Tigers moved forward and went the other way for an unassisted goal.

9: Princeton forced the Harvard tandem of goalkeepers, Cheta Emba and Lizzie Durack to make nine saves, but Emba and Durack were up to the shutout task. Jessica Haley led Princeton with three of those shots on goal.

Harvard's Joan Fleischman put her team up in the ninth minute when she capitalized on an uncleared ball, parking it in the net for the early 1-0 lead. It was Harvard's first shot on goal of the night.

• Harvard increased its lead in the series to 23-10-1. The Crimson have won five of the last seven since Princeton went 4-1-1 from 2001-06.

• Though the teams have combined to win every Ivy League title except one since 2008, there have been some one-sided outcomes in recent years. Princeton beat the Crimson 5-0 in 2006, but Harvard answered with 4-0 wins in 2010 and now this year.

• Rookie Hannah Winner made her collegiate debut, playing the second half and making one save against two shots on goal.

• Princeton will need a loss or tie from Harvard in one of its last two games to remain the league's last team to go 7-0-0, which the Tigers did last season and in 2004. No team other than Princeton has gone 7-0-0 in the league since Harvard in 1999, and it's never happened in back-to-back seasons since Penn gained varsity status to make 7-0-0 a possibility in 1991.

• The Crimson benefited from Penn's tie against Yale to take a five-point lead in the Ivy race, 15-10 over the Quakers. The Crimson can clinch the league's NCAA berth next week with a win against Dartmouth.

Tuesday at 7 p.m., Princeton will head to Colgate (9-5-1) in the team's final non-league game of the season. It'll be the Tigers' first visit to Hamilton since 2008.
