Women's Golf Finishes Runner-Up at Princeton Invitational
The Princeton women's golf team came in second at the Princeton Invitational Sunday as Harvard took home both the individual and team titles.
The Crimson finished 12 shots in front of Princeton, which had a seven-shot lead on third-place Columbia. Harvard's Tiffany Lim, who got off to a hot start Saturday with a first-round 66, held on for the individual title by three shots over Columbia's Michelle Piyapattra. Following her 2011 crown, it was the second straight title for Lim at the Princeton Invitational, which was not held in 2012.
Kelly Shon finished third overall for the Tigers to lead the team, finishing at 2 over. Princeton used three rookies in its starting five, incuding Jordan Lippetz, who was just behind Shon in a fourth-place tie at 4-over. Hana Ku, who tied for 11th at +11, and Isabella Bosetti, who tied for 37th at +27, made their collegiate debuts in the tournament.
The Tigers will return to action Friday to begin the Mason Rudolph Invitational hosted by Vanderbilt.
