Fresh off leading the Princeton women's swimming and diving team to its 11th Ivy League championship in the last 14 years, junior Lisa Boyce will be returning to the NCAA Championships, being held March 21-23 in Indianapolis.

Boyce was among the select few swimmers nationally who was invited in all three of her events, which consist of the 50 free, the 100 free and the 100 back. Boyce qualified in all three at the 2012 NCAA Championships as well, and she placed in the Top 50 in each, including 31st in the 100 free.

She will be looking to best those marks this year and hopefully become Princeton's first All-America women's swimmer since Alicia Aemisegger '10 earned the honor 13 times during her brilliant Tiger career.

Her first attempt will come during the opening day of the championships, which will be held at the IU Natatorium. She qualified for the 50 free in 22.07, the ninth-fastest time in the nation at this point. Boyce is a two-time Ivy League champion in the 50, and her time of 22.07 broke the previous record held by former Princeton co-captain Megan Waters '11.

Three other Princeton swimmers moved into the top five in the 50 free. Freshman Elizabeth McDonald moved to third in 22.86, while senior co-captain Carter Stephens is now fourth in 23.16. Freshman Morgan Karetnick is fifth in 23.21.

During the middle day of the NCAAs, Boyce will compete in the 100 back. The three-time reigning Ivy League champion in the event, Boyce enters with a time of 52.93, 26th-best in the nation. She holds the Princeton record in the event, while freshman teammate Sada Stewart is second in both the 100 and 200 in the Princeton record book (53.53/1:55.99).

On the final day of the NCAA Championships, Boyce will compete in the 100 free. She is currently 20th in the nation in 48.74, and she can grab her third Princeton record by dropping that time by .09 of a second. Boyce is the two-time reigning Ivy League champion in the event.

One freshman who nearly made the NCAA Championships is Nikki Larson, but she did capture a Princeton record this season. Larson moved past Waters in the 100 fly with her time of 53.21 at the Ivy League Championships.
