As the current Princeton men's basketball seniors had done in each of their three visits to Dartmouth, the Tigers put up a double-digit win in New Hampshire Friday night.

Princeton's 73-55 victory lifts the Tigers to 12-8 overall on the season and 5-1 in Ivy League play heading into a first-place showdown with Harvard tomorrow night. The Crimson were winners against Penn in Cambridge tonight, improving to 6-1 on the league slate. Dartmouth fell to 6-15 overall and 2-5 in the Ivy.

Denton Koon led Princeton with 18 points as one of four Tigers in double figures along with 14 from Ian Hummer, 12 from Hans Brase and 11 from Will Barrett.

Princeton had won by 16, 22, and 24 points in its three previous meetings at Dartmouth. Though the Big Green had the Tigers at a 19-19 tie midway through the first half, but Princeton responded with an 8-0 run and led by 14 at the half, 42-28.

The Tigers increased their lead to as much as 25 after halftime, reaching that zenith on a Chris Clement 3-pointer with less than six minutes to play. Dartmouth closed the contest on an 8-1 run, holding the Tigers without a field goal after that Clement 3-pointer.

Princeton was on target from the floor the whole game, outshooting Dartmouth 56.3 percent to 43.1 percent and outrebounding the Big Green 35-21.

Saturday's game at Harvard is set for 7 p.m. and will be televised on NBC Sports Network with Randy Moss and Dalen Cuff on the call. As always, it will be broadcast on WPRB 103.3 FM in the Princeton area and online at GoPrincetonTigers.com with Derek Jones handling play-by-play duties.

• Princeton has won nine of its last 11 games since a 3-6 start.

• Princeton's 18-point win was its second-largest margin of victory over a Division I opponent this season. The Tigers beat Lafayette by 19 on Nov. 24.

• After not reaching double figures in eight of the first nine games, Denton Koon has scored 10-plus points in 10 of the last 11 and seven straight.
