All-time series: Princeton leads 28-25
Streak: Columbia 1 overall, Princeton 1 in Princeton
Last meeting: On April 28 and 29, 2012, Cornell swept Princeton at '95 Field, with three of the four games decided by two runs or fewer. Cornell won the first-day opener 2-1 in 14 innings and the second-day opener 2-1 in 10. The teams played 38 innings over two days with Cornell outscoring Princeton 16-6.
At the plate: Cornell is outhitting Princeton .302 to .297 this season.
Top hitters: Sophomore Alyssa Schmidt (42-112, .375) is Princeton's top hitter, while senior Erin Belles (36-95, .379) leads the Big Red in batting average.
In the circle: Princeton's staff ERA is 2.76, Cornell's is 4.60.
Top pitchers: Senior Alex Peyton (7-7) has thrown a team-high 99 1/3 innings for Princeton, accruing a 2.47 ERA. Junior Alyson Onyon (13-14, 3.81) leads Cornell in innings, throwing 170 2/3 of the team's 289 frames.

• The Tigers enter the weekend still mathematically alive for the Ivy South title, but would need to sweep Cornell and see Columbia sweep Penn. The Quakers are up four games on Princeton for the divisional title with four to play.

• Princeton and Cornell played once annually between 1982-84, and then not again until 1994 when Cornell softball became a varsity sport.

• Princeton will aim for its first series win against Cornell since 2008. Over the last four four-game series (2009-12), Cornell won 13 of 16.

• Princeton has the opportunity to double its win total from last year, if it can sweep the series. Princeton has already won more games this year than it has since 2008, 25-24. Winning at least two games this weekend would make 2013 the winningest season since 2006 (34-19).

• With two wins, Lisa Sweeney would become the winningest first-year coach in program history. Sweeney has already clinched the best winning percentage for a first-year coach since the program's first coach, Diane Schumacher, went 12-7 (.706) in 1982.

• Princeton and Cornell are the top two teams in the Ivy in batting average.

• Alex Peyton leads the Ivy League win walks at 24, averaing 0.59 free passes per game.

• Cornell's Alyson Onyon enters the weekend as the most-used pitcher in the Ivy this season. Dartmouth's Kristen Rumley has thrown 166 innings, whole Onyon has thrown 170 2/3. Onyon accounts for nearly 60 percent of Cornell's innings this season.

• Alex Peyton's 22 career home runs tie her for fifth on the Princeton list. Those in the top four spots have all hit at least 30 home runs, led by Jamie Lettire '10 (38).

• With her next home run, Alex Peyton will become the sixth player in program history to hit 10 home runs in a season.
