BOX SCORE

Senior Lydia Rudnick led Princeton with 12 kills and 16 digs, but the Cornell Big Red opened their final home weekend with a 3-1 victory over the Tigers.

Cornell took the opening two sets 25-19 and 25-22, but Princeton battled back to win the third 25-23. Cornell refused to let the momentum get away and took control of the fourth for a 25-17 victory.

Sophomore Sarah Hanna recorded nine kills, while Princeton middles Leah Jordan and Tiana Woolridge both recorded five apiece. Woolridge added six blocks, while Jordan had four.

Sophomore setter Ginny Willis had 33 assists for the Princeton offense, and she matched freshman libero Sarah Daschbach with 10 digs. Junior Chelsea Parker had 14 digs of her own.

Though Princeton lost, it can finish no worse than a share of second in the Ivy League. The Tigers fell to 9-4 in the Ivy League, but Penn dropped its fifth match in Ivy play with a 3-1 loss at Columbia. If Princeton wins at Columbia Saturday at 5, it will finish alone in second place. If the Lions win, then Princeton, Columbia and possibly Penn will all share second.
