PRINCETON -- Alyssa Pont and Jen Hoy have earned the Ivy League Women's Soccer Player and Rookie of the Week honors, respectively, after Princeton won at Harvard for the first time since 2005.
Pont, the Ivy League Player of the Week, earned her fifth straight shutout and seventh on the season, making 10 saves to drop her goals-against average to 0.82 and save percentage above 83%. It was Princeton's first shutout at Harvard since 1985.
Hoy, the Ivy League co-Rookie of the Week, scored in the 86th minute to tally the only goal in Princeton's 1-0 victory over the Crimson, who entered the weekend in first place in the Ivy League.
The Tigers (6-6-3, 2-2-1 Ivy), who are still alive in the Ivy League title race, will host Cornell at 4 p.m. Saturday at Roberts Stadium.
