CANTON, N.Y. (3/1/14) - Senior Sean Bonar came in on relief and made 36 saves for the Princeton men's hockey team, as the Tigers lost 5-0 at St. Lawrence in the regular-season finale on Saturday, March 1 at Appleton Arena.

Princeton will return to the North Country next weekend to face Clarkson in the ECAC First Round Series, as the Knights earned the No. 5 seed in the tournament.

Jeremy Wick had a natural hat trick to pace the Saints offense. Gavin Bayreuther scored a power-play goal and added two assists. Greg Carey and Justin Baker had two assists apiece.

Kyle Essery opened the scoring when he flipped the puck past freshman netminder Colton Phinney, who started in goal for the Tigers, at 2:22. Wick started his hat trick with a one-timer 1:29 later to end Phinney's night in net.

Bonar took over and played well the rest of the way, but the Saints expanded their lead. Wick scored his second of the night at 18:32 of the first and completed his hat trick with a rebound at 11:47 of the second. Bayreuther completed the scoring with a power play goal from the center slot with 43 seconds left in the second period.
The Saints outshot Princeton 41-14 with Bonar making 15 saves in each the second and third periods to finish with 36 for the game. Weninger made 14 saves in his eighth career shutout.
