In its final session of a fifth straight championship season, the Princeton men's swimming team saw five underclassmen earn Top-30 finishes during Day 3 of the 2013 NCAA Championships.

Freshman Byron Sanborn opened in the 200 breast, where he finished 27th in a time of 1:57.59. The Ivy League runner-up in the event, Sanborn was the top Ivy finisher and placed sixth among all freshmen nationally. Sanborn also competed in both the 200 IM and the 100 breast this weekend, which should provide invaluable experience for one of the key freshmen in the highly touted Class of 2016.

Two more of those freshmen, Teo D'Alessandro and Sandy Bole, teamed up with sophomores Harrison Wagner and Connor Maher to place 23rd in 2:55.83. Wagner, who competed in the 50 free during Thursday's session at NCAAs, had the fastest split overall in 42.96.

"This was a fantastic experience for these six guys," said assistant coach Mitch Dalton, who included Ivy League 100 back champion Michael Strand in the mix. "These guys are a huge part of our future, and they will be even stronger because of these last few days."
