Rasheed Named to Naismith Watch List

Naismith Watch List

Princeton women's basketball senior Niveen Rasheed was on of 50 player from across the nation named to the Naismith Women's College Player of the Year Watch List, it was announced by the Atlanta Tipoff Club. The Tiger co-captain has already has picked up several preseason honors, including being named to the Wooden Award Preseason Top 30 and earning College Sports Madness preseason accolades.

"With so much returning talent this year, anticipation and excitement for women's college basketball season among fans, players and coaches is extremely high," said Eric Oberman, executive director of the Atlanta Tipoff Club. "We look forward to watching these student-athletes compete and prove to the nation that they deserve to be recognized as the best women's college basketball player in 2013."

She currently leads the squad with team-bests in points with 14 and rebounds with eight. Rasheed and the Tigers (1-0) head next to Marist on Saturday, Nov. 17 for a 7 p.m. contest with the Red Foxes.
