PRINCETON (3/3/14) -- The Princeton University Department of Athletics will host its 15th annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Saturday, March 8 at Jadwin Gymnasium. The event will be held prior to the women's basketball game with Columbia.
The event will feature a sports clinic behind the main court on the indoor track beginning as soon as the doors open at 5 p.m., and continuing until the start of the basketball game. The clinic will offer participants the chance to learn the fundamentals of a variety of sports from Princeton student-athletes and coaches. There will also be a bounce house and facepainting.
Princeton teams that will take part in the event include the soccer, squash, rowing, ice hockey and golf teams. Following the clinic, the Princeton women’s basketball team will host Columbia at 6 pm with the team honoring its two seniors prior to tip-off. The basketball players will sign autographs following the game.
Admission to the sports clinics is free with the purchase of a ticket to the basketball game. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children under age 14 and will be available at the door.
