Princeton head women’s basketball coach Courtney Banghart announced the addition of three student-athletes to join the four-time defending Ivy League champion Tigers for the 2013-14 campaign. Joining Princeton as the Class of 2017: Taylor Brown, Jackie Reyneke and Vanessa Smith.

"Recruiting is the most important thing we do, in that we are choosing the student-athletes that will represent Princeton basketball on-and-off the court," said Banghart. "We understand that in order to sustain a championship culture, it is imperative that we continue to surround ourselves with people that have that talent and passion to compete at the highest level. Taylor, Jackie, and Vanessa are the perfect additions and we are thrilled that they are joining our family. They are joining a competitive group of Tigers that dream and win as one. Together, we are eager to continue to raise the level of Princeton basketball."

Taylor Brown • 5-8 • Point Guard
Woodstock, Ga./The Lovett School

Point guard Taylor Brown heads to Princeton following her two-year starting career at The Lovett School. Over her career, Brown earned all-state honorable mention and all-region first team accolades. In 2012 she guided TLS to the state championship. Brown’s uncle is former NBA coach and current Southern Methodist head coach Larry Brown. She plans on majoring in applied mathematics at Princeton.

Jackie Reyneke • 6-4 • Forward
Saddle River, N.J./Northern Highlands Regional High School

A two-time all-state selection, Jackie Reyneke was a four-year letterwinner and started every game of her high school career at Northern Highlands. The forward owns the Highlander school career records in both points and rebounds with 1,543 and 1,413, respectively and earned all-county and all-league honors throughout her career. An accomplished athlete, she was a two-year letterwinner in track and field and was all-state, all-county and all-league in soccer. She holds the New Jersey record for assists in Fall 2012 with 32. Reyneke is undecided on a potential major at Princeton.

Vanessa Smith • 6-1 • Guard
Twinsburg, Ohio/Hathaway Brown High School

Guard Vanessa Smith guided Hathaway Brown to four Ohio State championships over her four-year starting career. A two-year captain, the 6-1 wing was a 2013 McDonalds All-America nominee, the Ohio Girls Division II Player of the Year and first team selection and Sun Press MVP.
