Princeton and UTEP narrowly missed meeting in March, but a November date has been set for the Tigers and Miners in California.
The teams are two of the eight in the Wooden Legacy, an event in Fullerton and Anaheim, California to be televised by the ESPN networks. Princeton and UTEP will begin the event at 2 p.m. ET on Nov. 27 at Cal State Fullerton's Titan Gym.
The teams were in the same quadrant of the College Basketball Invitational to cap this past season, and after Princeton held off Tulane 56-55 in New Orleans, the Tigers awaited the winner of UTEP's game against Fresno State in El Paso. The Bulldogs, who went on to advance to the tournament final, knocked off UTEP 61-56, assuring that Princeton and UTEP wouldn't have their third all-time meeting just yet.
Princeton will face either San Diego or Xavier in its next game in the event, on Nov. 28 either at 3:30 or 5:30 p.m. ET in Fullerton before moving to Anaheim's Honda Center for the final day of the event on Nov. 30. There, the Tigers will meet one of the teams in the other half of the bracket, either Long Beach State, Western Michigan, San Jose State or Washington.
Every game of the Wooden Legacy will be televised either on ESPN2, ESPNU or ESPN3.com.
The Wooden Legacy field was announced on June 26, and more information on all the participating teams is available here.
