When the Class of 2013 stepped onto campus they joined a Princeton women's basketball team that had gone 14-14 the year before. Like the missing link to a budding program, the quartet has guided the Tigers to the outright Ivy League title the last three years and they have won 20 or more games the last four seasons.

Friday's 77-44 victory over Yale clinched a share of the 2013 conference crown. With a win tomorrow over Brown, Princeton (20-6, 11-1 Ivy) claims solo stake at the title for the fourth consecutive season. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. versus the Bears in Jadwin Gym.

Poised by the defense Princeton tripped up Yale early, allowing the offense to garner its bearings. Unlike the first meeting between both teams in New Haven, the Tigers took some time before they were able to establish a double figure lead.

With 7:37 to play in the first half, Niveen Rasheed provided it with a pair of free throws to put Princeton up 19-9. It was the final push the squad needed to take complete control of the game.

Rasheed was one of four in double figures, tallying 21 points, eight rebounds and seven assists all for game-highs.

Joining Rasheed was Blake Dietrick, Kate Miller and Mariah Smith who all had 10 points apiece. Senior Megan Bowen nearly made if five in double digits with nine points and six defensive boards.

Princeton capitalized on Yale's 23 turnovers, converting them into 25 points, while making 16 fast break and 32 bench points.

Following the game, legendary Princeton basketball player Bill Bradley '65 and Princeton President Shirley Tilghman spoke to the team about the strides they had made not just this year, but as a program.

And for this group, they are the first team since the 1974-78 Tigers to win four consecutive conference titles.
